- Centring makes you?..?grounded and speedy
Pivots are used in mostly all our Standard dances, often they can be seen on the competition floor coupled as a group of pivot's resulting in a rotating movement of the couple. Consider that the technique of the above continuous pivoting action differs per dance. For exampledue to the speed and characteristic of the Tango and the Quickstep there is no need (and time) to show Rise and Fallin the pivots. In this case Dancers should concentrate that they keep the Centre Line of their body between their feet wile pivoting. Never move the centre line to or on to the standing foot in Tango and Quickstep.
